YENNAI ARINTHAAL - My Take...

First of all, I was not expecting an all-in-all action packed story with mass quotient. I have always maintained that I LOVE Ajith than 'Thala'. YA did give me that feel to a certain extent.
Really can't put this movie in any genre as it is a mix of action, romance and sentiment. Overall, YA has it's 'WOW' moments here and there. Nothing new story wise but the screenplay is applaud able and has made up for it..

'Thala' Ajith

• A run off the mill character and Ajith does it with ease. The role demands no extra effort, so no complain over Ajith's acting. He did what the role demands.
• Hated his hair-cut through out the movie excluding the pre-climax on-wards (with check shirt). Best look in the whole movie.
• Having said all these, his sheer screen presence has swallowed whatever negative aspects we see in him (salt & pepper look, weight, short hair-cut).
• Good to see GVM has written the story keeping Ajith as a character in it instead of a story for Ajith. As expected awesome dialogue delivery especially those English dialouges.
• No others in the present generation could speak half of how Ajith delivers English dialouges (perhaps, Madhavan can).

My Two Cents On The Movie

kOttukku Intha Pakkam (Negatives)

• Typical GVM style of story telling: 

         - Protagonist falls for divorcee
         - A gang of honest cops helping protagonist in hunting the villain

• Dialogues, very filmy and written in typical GVM style

         (Ex: Ingga itha naan solliyE aaganum, appO manasula athu thaan Odittu irunthathu, etc etc)

• Intense scenes (read: lot's of talking, which may not go well with C centre)
• Background Score, very noisy at most of the places. HJ should really consider outsourcing BGM in future

kOttukku Antha Pakkam (Positives)

• Neat narration. Intense scenes that build crux of the story.
• Arun Vijay, will be remembered for his power-packed performance just like Jeevan (in Kaakka Kaakka) and Baalaji (in VV). His mannerisms as antagonist are awesome, he will go places after this.
• Trisha, as beatiful as ever. Anoushka, cute and bubbly. Both did their parts well. Vivek needs special mention, no unwarranted comedies, just nice and apt.
• Awesome DOP, looks like Dan MacArthur has used natural lighting at most of the places and the way he captured each scene add values to the story narration
• Protagonist's characterization. The character is made to make mistakes just like anybody else, unlike typical Thamil movies where heroes are always right and make the correct moves all the time against villains

As for me, this is what I think. I am not sure if I should like this flick or not.
kOttukku intham pakkamum illai, antha pakkamum illai. Let me be neutral as of now. Perhaps, I may need more watches which will happen in coming days.

Best Moment - The Transformation...

The godown scene is the best scene for me. That 'kodutha kaasu thirumba vantha moment...' ;)

Yennai Arinthaal will do well and it has all the potential to draw more family crowd in coming days, ladies especially. GVM has pinned down the story for all type of audiences and for all section of people. Definitely not for typical Thalafans who expect 'gethu' scenes a lot but for those Ajithfans who would want to see a different shade of Ajith, YA is for you.

In short\, Yennai Arinthaal is where class meets mass... GO FOR IT...

மேற்கண்ட‌ காட்சியை தமிழ் சினிமா பார்க்கும் யாராலும் மறந்திருக்க‌ முடியாது. குறிப்பாக அஜித் ரசிகர்களுக்கு இந்த சம்பவம் என்றும் காலத்தால் அழியாத ஒன்று.

ஒரு பாராட்டு விழாவில், அரசியலும் சினிமாவும் வேறு, இரண்டையும் ஒன்றாக கலக்காதீர் என்று அனைவரது முன்னிலையிலும் எடுத்துரைத்தார்.
அதன் பின் அவர் பட்ட பாடு கொஞ்ச நஞ்சமல்ல.

அப்போது தனக்கும் இதற்கும் எந்தவொரு சம்பந்தமும் இல்லை என்பது போல் ந‌டந்து கொண்ட கமலுக்கு தற்போது தன்னை சுற்றி நிகழும் அனைத்து நிகழ்வுகளும் மேற்கண்ட சம்பவத்தை கண்டிப்பாக நினைவுகூற வழிவகுத்திருக்கும்.
பல் வலியும் வயிறு வலியும் அவரவருக்கு வந்தால் தான் புலப்படும் என்று அன்றே நம் முன்னோர்கள் எழுதி வைத்தது மிகச் சரியே.

அது போகட்டும், தேனி, மதுரை இன்னும் பிற‌ மாவட்டங்களில் ரஜினி ரசிகர்களோடு சேர்ந்து அஜித் ரசிகர்களும் கமலுக்கு ஆதரவாக போராட்டம் நடத்துவதை கேள்வியுரும் போது மிக சந்தோஷமாக உள்ளது, பெருமையாக இருக்கிறது.

ஒரு படத்தை எடுத்து அதனை வெளியிடுவதென்பது, ஒரு தாய் பத்து மாதம் தன் குழந்தையை ஈன்று, பெற்றெடுப்பதற்கு சமம் என்ற வடிவேலுவின் வசனம் ஒன்று ஞாபகத்திற்கு வருகிறது. உண்மை.

தமிழக அரசு, தன் அரசியல் 'லீலைகளை' உடனே நிறுத்தி, இந்த முற்றுகைக்கு கூடிய விரைவில் ஒரு முற்றுபுள்ளி வைத்து, விஸ்வரூபம் அனைத்து திரையரங்கிளும் வெற்றிரூபமாக நடை போட கடவுளை பிரார்த்திகிறேன்.

Billa 2 - The Don Is Back...

Teaser Sets Record

Billa 2 teaser has made a huge impact all over Internet and it has taken youtube by a storm. This is a record on it's own as far as any South Indian movies are concerned. Not only for Ajith fans but the teaser without a doubt has raised curiosity as well as expectations among general public. The overall response is just sensational and this has made Blla 2 the most awaited film of the year.

The teaser which was released on 13th April at 7pm to be specific was indeed a special Thamil New Year gift to Ajith fans around the globe. The viewership counts have been growing and growing ever since it gets uploaded in youtube by producer, Mr.Sunir Kheterpal.

In the first few minutes, youtube view counts got stuck at 305, thanks to Ajithfans all over who thronged to the site to get a glimpse of our Thala. In the first 24 hours, the viewership crossed 3 lakhs with more than 4500 likes. There was no stopping there, it grew to 5 lakhs with more than 6000 likes in just 2 days. Third day witnessed a 7 lakhs hits with more than 7700 likes. After the so-called technical glitch for more than a day, the hit counts continued to grow and crossed 9 lakhs with 9000 likes in just 7 days. A phenomenal 1 million mark was achieved the very next day and the view counts are still growing. As of now, it has crossed 1.3 million hits with more than 9500 likes and this is by far a milestone for any Thamil movies teasers in near future.

At the same time, the teaser occupied the first slot of 'Top Trending Indian Video' for the first few days pushing Amir Khan's 'Satyamev Jayate' theme song to second. This is again another achievement which will be preserved in a very long time.

The Teaser - Technical Aspects

Speaking of the teaser, it is slick, stylish and uber-cool. Aided by the crisp editing, as it progresses, the increasing heartbeat in the background further adds soul to the fast-paced teaser. There is no denying that it's filled with mass elements but there is surely 'class' written all over it.
Be it the presentation, camerawork or lighting, the hard work of the entire team is crystal clear. Explosions seems real and interestingly, Billa 2 is the first ever Indian movie (at Asian level too) which had been shot using RED Epic. With it's pure magic, the camera brings the teaser to a different level and it's going to be a whole new experience for audience watching Billa 2 on big screen.

Not to forget, the stunts are going to be major highlight. Thanks to all the stunt coordinators involved who brought out the realistic and exciting daredevil stunt sequences throughout. The climax fight which had been shot on a chopper will be the highlight of Billa 2. For this, Thala has performed death defying stunt and it required Thala to hang out of the helicopter without any dupe. No joke, the sequence was shot at an altitude of over 1000 ft (10,000 feet from ground) and at a temperature about minus 5 degrees. The teaser did give a glimpse of this shot and watching the whole episode on big screen will easily leave the audience on goosebumps. Sure, this fight sequence is mouth-watering but taking the risk factors into considerations, these kind of  dangerous acts should be avoided. Generally, Ajith fans are expressing their concerns over this and they would not want Thala to attempt these kind of stunts ever at the expense of his own life. Hopefully, Thala will heed to fans' requests and avoid these kind of daredevil stunts in future.


Thala All The Way

Billa means Ajith, Ajith means Billa. The voice modulation and dialogue delivery when Thala utters the above mentioned dialogue is just a small evident that supports the fact that Thala has taken extra care to essay the role to perfection. Looks like Thala is all set to blaze the screen with his acting, style and sheer screen presence. Watch out for Thala to unveil a meaner and merciless performance in the form of Billa.

The tagline "Every Man Has A Past... Every Don, A History" is pretty much apt since this version of Billa will be talking about the journey of a common man who transforms himself to a powerful and dreaded don. Billa... David Billa... This has become a brand ala James Bond. Let's pray for Billa 2 to give a new dimension in Thala's career. Wishing Thala Ajith and the whole Billa 2 team a great success and may this movie sets a new benchmark for future Thamil movies on how a action-packed movie should be. benchmark/milestone.

Music and Background Score

Just like the earlier venture, music plays a major role in here too. The teaser starts off with the earlier Billa's theme in a slow and sad tone which emotes the pain Billa goes through at initial stages of his life. The teaser carries a score rich with grandness but thrilling as well as haunting feel could be felt towards the end. Background score and re-recording are another aspects to look out for. With Yuvan's midas touch all over, musical treat is guaranteed.

Fans' Reaction

Most importantly, it looks like a complete package for Ajithfans. Ajithfans are awestruck and satisfied by the teaser and the way the whole movie progressed from scratch. They are going gaga over teaser, which is visible via their remarks and comments on social networks. Thala's dialogue 'Dei, en vaazhkaila ovvoru naalum, ovvoru nimishamum, een ovvoru nodiyum naana sedukunadhu da' has been so viral on Ajith fans Facebook walls and twitter pages. The reach and reception is just unbelievable and this indicates the kind of huge fan base following our Thala.

2011 ஆம் ஆண்டு நம்ம தல அஜித்திற்கு தன் சினிமா பயணத்தில் கண்டிப்பாக ஒரு சிறந்த ஆண்டே. (தன் சக கால நடிகர்களைக் காட்டிலும்) தமிழ் சினிமாவில் ஒரு நடிகனாக தன் முத்திரையை மேலும் ஒரு படி அழுத்தம் திருத்தமாக பதித்திருக்கிறார். இவ்வாண்டு அஜித்திற்கும் சரி அவரது கோடான கோடி ரசிகர்களுக்கும் சரி, ஒரு மறக்கமுடியாத ஆண்டாக இருக்கும என்றே சொல்ல வேண்டும். ஏன் அப்படி என்ற உங்கள் கேள்விக்கு பதில்கள் இதோ...

1) மங்காத்தாவின் அசூர 'ஓபனிங்'

இதுவரை தமிழ் சினிமா கண்டிராத ஓபனிங்கை மங்காத்தா பெற்றது அனைவரும் அறிந்ததே. திரும்பிய தியேட்ட‌ர்களில் எல்லாம் மங்காத்தாதான். சில தியேட்டர்களில் அறிவிக்கப்படவேயில்லை. அவ்வளவு ஏன், இன்னும் சில தியேட்டர்களில் போஸ்டர்கள் கூட ஓட்டாமல் மங்காத்தா திரையிடப்பட்டது. கேஸினோ போன்ற தியேட்டர்களில் அறிவிக்கப்படாமலே மூன்று நாட்கள் திரையரங்கு நிறைந்த காட்சிகள். பல மல்ட்டி ப்ளெகஸில் யுவன் யுவதி படக்காட்சியை ரத்து செய்துவிட்டு மங்காத்தாவை ஓட்டினார்கள். தமிழ் மட்டுமல்ல, தெலுங்கு மலயாள தேசத்திலும் கூட பெரிய ஓபனிங் பெற்றதை, கண்டிப்பாக தயாரிப்பாளர் முதற்கொண்டு யாரும் எதிர்பார்த்திருக்க மாட்டார்கள். ஏற்கனவே, 'கிங் ஆப் ஓபனிங்' அஜித் அவர்களின் படங்கள் பெரிய ஓபனிங்கை பெரும் என்பதை அனைவரும் அறிவீர். இதற்கு மேலும் வளு சேர்க்க, முன்னோட்டம் ('டிரைலர்') ரசிகர்கள் மட்டுமல்லாது பொது மக்களிடையே பெரும் எதிர்பார்ப்பை உண்டு பண்ணியது. இவ்வேளையில், எடிட்டர் பிரவின் மற்றும் ஷ்ரிகாந்த் அவர்களுக்கு தங்களது அசத்தலான டிரைலருக்காக‌ நன்றி சொல்ல கடமைப்பட்டிருக்கிறோம். ரசிகர் மன்றங்களைக் கலைத்துவிட்டார், இனி எப்படி இவருக்கு ஓபனிங் கிடைக்கும் என்று வாய் சவடால் பேசிய 'சிலர்' வாயை ஒரேடியாக அடைத்தார். இதை பிற‌ நடிகர்களும் சரி அவர்களது ரசிகர்களும் சரி, நிச்சயமாக எதிர்பார்த்திருக்க மாட்டார்கள். ரசிகர் மன்றங்களை வைத்தே பெரிய ஓபனிங் பெற‌லாம், படத்தை வெற்றி பெற செய்திடலாம் என்ற தமிழ் சினிமாவில் எழுதப் படாத கூற்றை தவறென்று நிரூபித்தார். உண்மையைச் சொல்லப் போனால், 'கிங் ஆப் ஓபனிங்' மங்காத்தாவின் மூலம் 'எம்பெரர் ஆப் ஓபனிங்' ஆனார்.

2) மங்காத்தாவின் வெற்றி

இப்படத்திற்கு எத்திசையிலும் வெற்றி முழக்கம், பட்டி தொட்டியெல்லாம் பட்டயைக் கிளப்பியது. தமிழ் நாடு மட்டுமல்லாது மலேசியா, சிங்கை, துபாய், இன்னும் திரையிட்ட இடத்திலெல்லாம் அமோக வரவேற்பு. தல அஜித்தின் 'சால்ட் அன்ட் பெப்பர் லுக்' பரவலாக பேசப்பட்டது. கடைசிவரை பணத்தின் மேல் கொண்ட வெறி, உடல் மொழி, 'நெகடிவ்' கதாபாத்திரம், நடனம், 'ச்க்ரீன் பிரசன்ஸ்' என ஓவ்வொரு விஷயமும் வெகுஜன மக்களுக்கு பிடித்துப்போனது. ரசிகர்ககளைப் பற்றி சொல்லவே வேண்டாம். சால்ட் அன்ட் பெப்பர் லுக்கோடு கல்லூரி விழா மற்றும் பொது நிகழ்சிகளில் வளம் வந்து மங்காத்தா பாடல்களுக்கு ஆடிப் பாடினர். மங்காத்தா இவ்வாண்டில் வெளிவந்த அனைத்து படங்களையும் வசூலில் முறியடித்து புதியதோர் சாத‌னை ப‌டைத்துவிட்ட‌து. சென்னயில் மட்டும் இதனது வசூல் கிட்டதட்ட‌ 9 கோடியைத் தொட்டுள்ளது. தயாரிப்பாளர், தியேட்டர் உரிமையாளர் முதல் சைக்கிள் 'டோக்கன்' விற்பவன் வரை அனைவரும் பணம்(லாபம்) பார்த்தனர். வெங்கட் பிரபுவிற்கும் அவரது ஒட்டுமொத்த பட குழுவினருக்கும் மனமார்ந்த ந‌ன்றிகள் கலந்த பாராட்டுகள். படத்தை வெளியிட்ட சன் நிறுவனம் மங்காத்தா மொத்தத்தில் 130 கோடிகள் வரை வசூலித்திருப்பதாக அன்மையில் தகவல் வெளியிட்டுள்ளது. இது உண்மை எனும் பட்சத்தில், முதலீடை விட இந்த தொகை மூன்று மடங்காகும். அதன் இணைப்பை கீழே காண்க.



அன்மையில் மக்களை கவரும் படங்கள் இல்லாத காரணத்தினாலும், சில பல பெரிய நடிகர்களின் படங்கள் மண்ணைக் கௌவியதனாலும், மங்காத்தா சென்ற வாரத்திலிருந்து மீண்டும் திரையிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. தீபாவ‌ளிக்கு வெளியான‌ ப‌ட‌ங்களை ஓரங்கட்டிவிட்டு திரையரங்கு உரிமையாளர்கள் மங்காத்தாவை மேண்டும் ரிலீஸ் செய்துள்ளனர். இது பொங்கல் வரை நீடிக்கும். இதற்கு ரசிகர்களிடமிருந்து நல்ல வரவேற்பு கிடைத்துள்ளதாக தகவல்கள் வந்த வண்ணம் உள்ளன.



3) கூகில் தேடலில் (படங்கள் பிரிவு) மங்காத்தா

சமீபத்தில் கூகிளில், படங்கள் பிரிவில் 2011 ஆம் ஆண்டில் மிக விமரிசியான அல்லது அதிக அளவில் தேடப்பட்ட படங்கள் பட்டியல் வெளியிடப்பட்டது. இது இந்திய அளவில் எடுக்கப்பட்ட 'டாப் டென்' பட்டியல் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது. 'பாடிகார்ட்', 'ரா‍‍ ஒன்', 'டெல்லி பெள்ளி' என இந்தி படங்கள் ஆக்கிரமித்திருக்கும் இப்பட்டியலில், தமிழ் சினிமாவிலிருந்து மங்காத்தா மட்டுமே இடம் பெற்றிருக்கிறது. இதில் மங்காத்தாவிற்கு 7 ஆவது இடம். தல அஜித்திற்கும் மங்காத்தா படகுழுவினருக்கும் மீண்டும் ஒரு சபாஷ். முழு பட்டியல் விவரமும் இதனது சன் தொலைக்காட்சி கானொலி இணைப்பும் கீழே.

4) 2010 இல் மக்களைக் கவர்ந்த 50 ஆண்களில் அஜித்

இந்திய அளவில், மக்களுக்கு பிடித்துப்போன‌ 50 ஆண்களில் அஜித் இடம் பெற்றுள்ளார். அழகு, கவர்ச்சி, வசீகரம், பிரசித்தி, சிறப்பு, சாதனை, வெற்றி சத‌விகிதம் போன்ற பல்வேறு கூறுகளை கருத்தில் கொண்டு இணயத்தின்வழி வாக்களிப்பு நடத்தப்பட்டது. 31 டிசம்பர் மாதம் 2010 வரை நீடித்த இந்த வாக்களிப்பில் ரசிகர்களும் பொது மக்களும் தங்களைக் கவர்ந்தவர்களுக்கு வாக்களித்தனர். நடிகர்கள், கிரிக்கெட் வீரர்கள் மற்றும் இயக்குணர்கள் அடங்கிய அந்த 50 ஆண்களில் தமிழ் சினிமா பிரபலங்களை விரல் விட்டு என்னலாம். அஜித் 18 ஆவ‌து இட‌த்தைப் பிடித்தார். என்னைப் பொருத்தவரை இது கண்டிப்பாக ஒரு சாதனை தான். அவருக்கு என் மனமார்ந்த வாழ்த்துகள். போட்டியின் முழு விவரம் அறிய இங்கே செல்லவும். வாக்குகளின் வழி தெரிவு செய்யப்பட்ட அந்த 50 ஆண்கள் பட்டியலை கீழே காணலாம்.

5) இணையத்தில் அஜித்தின் ஆக்கிரமிப்பு

இணையதள ஆய்வாளரான சிரில் அலெக்ஸ் என்பவர் சமீபத்தில் நீயா நானா எனும் நிகழ்ச்சியில், கூகிலில் அஜித் அதிகம் தேடப்படுபவர் என்றுள்ளார். இக்கூற்று 2011ஆம் ஆண்டு மட்டுமல்லாது, பொதுவாக‌ கூறப்பட்டதென்பதோ உண்மை தான். இருப்பினும், 2011ஆம் ஆண்டும் நிச்சயம் இதில் அடங்கும் பட்சத்தில் இதனை தாராளமாக சென்ற வருட சாதனைகளில் சேர்க்கலாம். அதன் கானொலி இதோ.



ஆக, 2011-ஆம் ஆண்டு கண்டிப்பாக அஜித் அவர்களுக்கு ஒரு சிறப்பான ஆண்டாக அமைந்துவிட்டது. அதேசமயத்தில், அவரது ரசிகர்களுக்கு 2011 ஒரு மறக்க முடியாத ஆண்டாக இருக்கும் என்பதில் துளியும் சந்தேகமில்லை.

2011 ஆண்டில் நம் தல அஜித் அவர்களுக்கு 40 வயது பூர்த்தியாகிவிட்டது. வாழ்த்த வயதில்லை, அவர் தொழிலிலும் வாழ்விலும் மென்மேலும் வெற்றி பெற எல்லாம் வல்ல இறைவனை வேண்டிக் கொள்கிறேன்.

Thala's Mankatha - Music Review

Vilaiyaadu Mankatha

Singers: Yuvan Shankar Raja, Ranjith, Sucharitha, Anita, Premgi Amaren

The purpose to release this track as solo is to give an overall idea about this prestigious project. It did, to a certain extent. I got to admit, this failed to impress me at first listen. Multiple listens did create an 'oomph' factor.

With the help of various instruments as well as combinations of voices, this is indeed the pick of the album, for me. It just grew in me and I have been humming the tune eversince. One thing is for sure, this track will set the local pubs on fire once the movie has released. Good job indeed.





Nee Naan

Singers: SP Charan, Bhavatharani

Lyrics: Niranjan Bharathi



This certainly belongs to melody genre. I heard this song brings together SP Charan and Bhavatharani combo for the first time, pretty interesting combo that is. I liked both the renditions and the track is soothing to ears. No doubt, it will be a hit among couples.





Vaada Bin Laada

Singers: Krish, Suchitra

Lyrics: Vaali



Impressing general listeners with this track is a tough task I would say. One needs some musical knowledge to get hooked to this. Most of the times, the music

is loud which makes the lyrics go unnoticed. Perhaps, visuals/song picturisation may do some wonders in getting music lovers' attention towards this track. However, there is a section of people (from general listeners) who is going gaga over this track. This is certainly not my kind of song.





Machi Open the Bottle

Singers: Haricharan, Mano, Naveen, Premji, Tippu

Lyrics: Vaali



Without a single doubt, this track is targetted for mass audience. It's a mixed of kuthu number and folk genre. One can't deny the fact that it resembles 'Saroja Saaman Nikalo' from Chennai 600028. After watching Premji's recent interview in Indiaglitz, it seems it's a deliberate attempt. He clearly told that they wanted to re-create the same 'magic' of Saroja Saaman Nikalo with this track. A beaten to death tune I would say. Having said that, fans will lap it up by turning the theatre halls into dance floors.

Nanbane

Singers: Madhushree, Yuvan Shankar Raja

Lyrics: Vaali



A slow poison indeed. I don't think this track can be categorised under melody genre. It gives pathos kind of feel by appealing to the listeners' emotions. Basically, the lyrics suggest that a woman doesn't really into the good or evil of a man she fell in love with. Must be a situational song and I strongly feel Madhushree could have put in some extra efforts in bringing the tenderness/sorrow the situation might require. I could be wrong as Yuvan should know better. Anyway, not to forget Yuvan's rendition in this song. Usually, he sings alone and him sharing space with others especially with a female singer makes this track quite special for Yuvan fans. His voice adds and contributes extra value to this number.





Balle Lakka

Now, this is something that I fell in love in my first hearing itself. Very catchy and it is neither slow paced nor fast paced. My gut feelings say that this number will be popular among teenegers, thanks to the catchy lyrics and simple yet interesting usage of instruments. This song marks the debut of a singer, Anusha Dayanidhi, wife of Durai Dayanidhi, the producer of Mangkatha. She crooned this song very well, quite a gifted voice and I'm pretty sure she will go places after this.





Vilayadu Mankatha (Extended Dance Mix)

This is the remix version of the title track. It's fast paced and has jazzy touch. The usage of the music bits from this track in latter part of the trailer was very apt. Liked it. Again, this track can be another possible candidate in night clubs, pubs or functions like wedding and birthdays.





Mankatha Theme Music - Instrumental



Whenever Yuvan involves in my Thala's film, theme music is the first I would look out for. As expected, Yuvan didn't dissapoint. This is his area of expertise. Once again, he proves why he's is the best in the current crop of MDs when it comes to theme music cums background scores throughout the movie. The flavours of Vilaiyaadu Mankatha can be felt here and there. It has all the potentials to be Ajithfans' and/or Yuvan fans' pick as their ringtones. In short, it's outstanding, magestic and thrilling. Loved it to the core.





It's crystal clear that Yuvan has balanced himself in satisfying quite a number of sections of people like Ajithfans mostly, followed by his own fans and then the general audiences. He has experimented and tried his best. The album is already a phenomenal Hit, therefore I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Yuvan and the entire crew who involved in making the album a great success. Congratulations!!! :)







In comparison with Billa



Since, Dheena remains the evergreen album when it comes to Ajith-Yuvan combo, I would rather not touch it. Personally, I enjoyed Billa songs, I mean every song in the album. But, I can't do the same for Mangkatha. I'm yet to 'gel' with a few songs like 'Vaada Bin Laada', 'Machi Open the Bottle' and 'Nanbane'. Maybe I need more listens and I might change my opinion, who knows.



Billa Theme VS Mangkatha Theme



Since it's Yuvan, I can't resist in comparing both the albums' theme musics. Billa's theme was mainly aimed for Ajithfans where it carries the 'gethu' feel throughout. Mass all the way.

Mangkatha theme music on the other hand can be enjoyed by everyone and anyone. It's more to a situational theme that discourses the storyline the director has crafted. It's kind of thrilling and thanks to the grand ochestrations.

So who is the winner? Eventhough I love both the tracks, the former slighyly wins by a hair.
